LiveScot, the Scottish Fatstock Club’s premier Winter Fair event held at Lanark Mart 21-22 November saw the Club’s Beef Ribs & Saddles of Lamb competition run by QMS and supported by John Scott Meat.

Taking home the silverware and standing both Rib and Saddle Champion was Willie Purdon who farms near Strathaven, South Lanarkshire.

A tremendous display and competition judged by Tom Courts of Tom Courts Butchers culminated in Mr Purdon receiving both perpetual trophies from Royal Smithfield Club Chairman, Simon Orpwood.
